Do not be afraid

“Jesus firmly tells us not to be afraid of the upheavals in every period of history, not even in the face of the most serious trials and injustices that may befall his disciples.” — Pope Francis

Reflection: God’s reassurance echoes through the centuries: “Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand” (Isaiah 41:13 NABRE). Are you struggling with fear? Where do you feel weak in the face of the situations you have to deal with this week? Who might you ask to pray with or for you to find strength or overcome anxiety?
