OCIA - Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (formerly RCIA)
OCIA is a process which includes a series of rites in the context of learning about the faith and spiritual formation. Through this process, a person is fully incorporated into the Body of Christ, the Church.
All are invited to join the process to prepare for the Order of Christian Initiation as an adult.
• Unbaptized Adults
• Baptized non-Catholic Christians
• Adults who are members of the Church but have not yet received all the Sacraments.
Weekly sessions provide introductions to most of the major teachings of the Church. Our process includes instructional sessions, fellowship and celebration. OCIA is a journey toward Christ, a journey to deeper faith, and a journey to discover Christ’s Church and our place in it.
For adults, the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, First Eucharist and reception into full communion of the Church are usually administered at the Easter Vigil each year.
