Women's Club

The St. Pius Women's Club is open to all women of the
St. Pius Parish & School community.

June, 2020

Dear St. Pius Women's Club Members,

Just a note to let you know that the club is well, and ready to resume activities as soon as this pandemic ends. We haven't forgotten you and hope you haven't forgotten us. The board will be meeting soon via zoom, to discuss the future and possible upcoming events. It is difficult at this time to schedule any events as we do not know when we will be able to gather but we will keep you informed as things change. Navigating the waters during this difficult time is challenging for all of us and we appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to the day we can once again come together and celebrate.

I am proud to announce that the Women's Club presented two $1,000 scholarships to two St. Pius School graduating young women. The recipients were announced at the graduation ceremony - Congratulations to Lucy D'Errico and Kayla Wayne!

I pray that you and your families are well and staying safe. I offer this prayer in hopes that it brings you some peace as it did for me in these trying times. Let us remember to always choose love. During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other, let us find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbors, and to our world.

Blessings,
Karen Elmore
SPWC President

Loving and Merciful God,
Who some call mystery, beyond all definition, that
When in the midst of uncertainty
     May we know faith.
When in the midst of anxiety,
     May we know serenity.
When in the midst of stress,
     May we know calm.
When in the midst of fear,
     May we know trust.
When in the midst of bewilderment,
     May we know assurance.
When in the midst of confusion,
     May we know confidence.
When in the midst of pandemic,
   May we know peace.
When in the midst of whatever,
   May we know love.
Amen.
